Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Benefits Analyst in our Customer Service department.
Wespath provides benefit administration services to over 100,000 participants. In 2022 the Customer Service department started a transition in how the department services Wespath customers. This transition included changes in the department structure, its technology, and processes. A team of benefits analysts was created to be responsible for large, complex benefit administration projects like the daily balancing of payments from define benefit, defined contribution and welfare plans.
We believe the person who will thrive in this new role is an experienced benefits administrator who is:
- Experienced in defined contribution or pension and/or welfare plans.
- Flexible and able to adjust as different needs arise during the day needing their attention.
- Analytical to problem solve issues impacting benefits.
- Able to act as subject matter expert to other staff.
- Able to start work between 7:30 am to 8:00 am so the daily balancing cut-off time can be met.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret complex benefit plan related information.
- Ability to analyze and manage large data files to identify data discrepancies within MS Excel or MS Access.
- Professional writing skills. Is able to prepare a business letter or email with appropriate punctuation and clarity.
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Defined Benefits, Defined Contributions, and Health benefits.
- Experience with Required Minimum Distributions.
