Responsibilities
- Manages staff in order to provide support a team of government Program Managers (PM)
- Manage staff and mitigate any issue that may arise
- Prepare program documentation
- Communicate frequently with performers, leadership, PMs and government staff
- Support the PM by interfacing with government contracting officers with various program requests, outreach strategies, and solutions leveraging core capabilities
- Prepare program documentation and briefings
- Participate in proposal concepts, evaluation assistance, and relationship building
- Facilitate the transition of developed technology to clients and deployment
- Assist with the establishment of project metrics
- Publish technical analysis in support of the government needs
- Generate and present comprehensive technical briefings, papers, and recommendations
- Provide support to the PMs in planning process for advancing technologies by combining strategic planning along with detailed technical assessment and analysis of alternatives
- Conducting background research to discuss, discover, and evaluate the feasibility of new concepts and shaping research program goals
- Developing and researching ideas for the formulation of programs, including supporting in the assessment of proposed ideas and determining the technical merit, methodologies, innovation level and risk, and benefit
- Assist with the management of R&D programs and performers in formal design reviews and informal status meetings
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years PM experience on federal government contracts
Education
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline;
- Education can be substituted with an additional ten (10) years of related professional experience
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

Regularly required to sit for extended periods up to 80% of the time; frequently required to move about to access file cabinets and use office equipment such as PC, copier, fax, telephone, cell phone, etc. Occasionally required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of the time.
