Weekend Lifeguard at WEST Coast Aquatics

WEST Coast Aquatics is seeking to add a member to our aquatics team that will guard the pool and follow opening/closing procedures daily. As a customer service position, this candidate must be friendly and polite while able to enforce program policies & practices.

Compensation

Base Pay: The starting pay rate for this position is $18 - $23 per hour and will reflect the experience and qualifications of the applicant.

End-Of-Year Bonus: during profitable years, the board will award a portion of profits to be split between employees based on individual performance, contribution and longevity.

Lifeguard Duties

• Reinforce all WEST policies
• Ensuring members check-in before every workout
• Maintaining a clean and safe workplace
• Monitoring and facilitating lane space 

Work Schedule

Lifeguards must be able to adhere to the set schedule to create consistency. Sessions that instructors can choose to work are:

• Saturday Closing: 2:00pm-7pm
• Sunday Opening: 9am-2pm
• Sunday Closing: 2pm-6pm

Requirements

Strong Customer Service Skills: This role will interact with customers, parents, athletes and must be outgoing, friendly and personable, yet decisive and firm when necessary.

Organized & Detail Oriented: We work in a fast paced environment and safety is our top concern. Candidates must be maintaining swimmer safety at all times while also fulfilling other responsibilities.

Experience:

• Swimming: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Lifeguard CPR Certification (Required)

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $18.00 - $23.00/hour.
