Rendering Plant - Receiver

At our Edmonton plant, we are searching for full-time, permanent Plant Labourers (Receiver). This is a full-time role at a high volume, production/manufacturing environment within the raw materials and agricultural by-products industry. The suitable candidate must be adaptable to adverse conditions including odours, confined spaces, heights, cold weather and handling of by-products.  Your own transportation to the plant site is preferred due to the lack of public transportation available. We are located just north of Sherwood Park. As a part of West Coast Reduction Ltd.'s hiring process, we request applicants to complete a background check for employment purposes.  RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinating material received from trailers or fleet vehicles at the Plant Assisting with emptying trailers or fleet vehicles by connecting pumps or hoses, etc. Yard washing, cleaning plant equipment and fleet vehicles in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures Adherence to Company safety procedures and processes are a requirement of this position Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience operating heavy equipment (forklifts or skid steers) a strong asset Previous role working within a similar industry (farming, agriculture or meat processing facilities) preferred Ability to lift up to 50lbs of machinery and tools on a daily basis Adept at taking accurate measurements, handling of analytical, sampling and measurement equipment Possession of a valid driver's license is an asset Learns quickly and adapts to an industrial environment Demonstrated ability to follow written or verbal instructions related to analytical protocols and procedures Familiarity with the principles of Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is a definite asset INTERESTED CANDIDATES ARE INVITED TO SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATION VIA EMAIL TO VIA THE "APPLY NOW" LINK BELOW.
