We are seeking an experienced Aerospace/Automotive type painter to join our team. This position will be responsible for preparing, priming, painting, and finishing aerospace components and structures to meet industry standards and specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and proficiency with specialized tools and equipment used in the aerospace/automotive painting industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to read engineering drawings/prints
- Knowledge of automotive paint systems, materials, tools, and surface preparation.
- Mixing of paints, primers, and other coatings according to specifications, ensuring the correct consistency and color match.
- Apply coatings to parts, assemblies, and structures to include applications for steel, aluminum, carbon fiber work and fiberglass using spray guns, brushes, or other tools, ensuring smooth and uniform finishes.
- Assess completed work for defects, including inconsistencies in coverage, texture, or finish, and correct any issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations regarding the use of hazardous materials.
- Work with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure coatings meet specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain equipment, including spray guns and airbrush tools, ensuring they are cleaned and functioning properly.
- Safely handle and store chemicals, paints, and coatings as per safety guidelines.
- Accurately record time spent on tasks using the company’s time keeping system.
- Time management and ability to multi-task.
- Follow all company and industry safety standards, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
