**Job Certifcation:**
-Must have a valid school counselor license for North Carolina.
**Duties:**
- Provide individual and group counseling to students on various issues such as academic performance, behavioral problems, and mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create strategies for student success.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and challenges.
- Develop and implement programs to address bullying, substance abuse, and other student welfare issues.
- Assist in crisis intervention when necessary.
- Educate students on topics related to behavioral health and social skills.
**Experience:**
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a childcare, classroom, or counseling setting.
- Proficiency in behavior management and conflict resolution techniques.
- Knowledge of child welfare policies and procedures.
- Background in social work or related field is a plus.
- Ability to educate and communicate effectively with students of diverse backgrounds.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Counseling or related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Previous experience working with children or adolescents is highly desirable.
