The Maintenance Director supervises the maintenance department and is responsible for the efficient function of physical, plant, and environmental systems as well as the appearance and upkeep of the community grounds.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct and participate in maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs.
• Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget.
• Recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers
REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an appropriate technical/trade school preferred, but not required.
• Three years of experience in building maintenance; one year of supervisory experience
