West Michigan Credit Union is looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Loan Officer in Grand Rapids. Our Loan Officers are responsible for assisting members with their lending needs.

The primary purpose of this position is to assist West Michigan Credit Union to live out its mission, “Working together as the most trusted resource to help our members’ financial lives be simply better,” by delivering outstanding service to both members and internal members. A key component of this service is to identify the financial needs of the member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution.
Your Skills:
- High school diploma or GED.
- CU*Answers experience preferred.
- Lending experience preferred
- Able to pass a background check.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be detailed oriented.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assisting members with the loan application process.
- Pull credit reports and calculate the debt to income ratios.
- Approve or deny loans and follow through to completion.
- Open memberships.
- Identifying cross-sell opportunities and making appropriate recommendations of products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and accounts and related policies and procedures.
