Restoration Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

The Mitigation Technician works with other Technicians in following the direction of the Lead Water Mitigation Technician or Project Manager or other supervisors while the entire crew performs the challenging tasks in handling water and sewage damage, mold, or fire damage restoration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform physical demolition at construction sites, removal of heavy debris and equipment and general manual labor at construction and/or demolition site.
• Walk the homeowner/business owner through the damage and explain the work to be performed.
• Meet with homeowner or business owner to go over documents and get signatures.
• Determines what building materials are salvageable (drywall, base boards, carpet) and what is not.
• Deploy appropriate drying equipment; makes sure it is properly placed and performing to expectations.
• Keep documentation, perform moisture readings, keep psychometric logs in order and turned in to supervisor daily.
• Enter details of work performed on daily labor log and materials used sheets and turned in daily to supervisor.
• Check progress of drying once every 24 hours from start of job to completion of job.
• Leaving job-site with a clean and orderly appearance.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Drive company vehicle/truck, transport equipment, transport technicians.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified by IICRC in Water Damage, Mold or Fire Damage Restoration.
• Experience in one of the following: water damage mitigation, fire cleaning, mold remediation, carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning.
• Developing production expertise: services, cleaning products, and equipment.
• Chauffeurs license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass DOT physical examination.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to climb stairs, scaffold and ladders.
• Ability to bend, squat, stand for extended periods, lift frequently and lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
• Be available 24/7/365 to handle any emergency.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees.
• May occasionally work on slippery or uneven surfaces,
• Will climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis
• Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
• Perform work indoors and outdoors year round.
• Working with/around dangerous tools.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
