Assembly Technician
Rail Construction Equipment Co. (RCE) utilizes conventional John Deere construction equipment (like excavators, loaders and backhoes) and modifies the machines for rail maintenance tasks.
Job Duties:
- Assemble and build specialized equipment and associated attachments
- Capability to understand components and inspect to see they are in proper operating condition
- Utilize best common practices when assembling mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components
- Participates in training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
- Performs duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
- Participates in RCE’s Safety Program
- Other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong mechanical skills; Good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
- Knowledgeable in the assembly and troubleshooting of mobile hydraulics and electrical componentry.
- Understanding the associated tasks involved with installation and building up of machined fabrications.
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as a team member
- Computer skills in data entry, basic navigation and Internet
Salary : $15 - $19
