Grade Control Support Specialist
Reports To: Grade Control Specialist
This position is responsible for supporting market opportunities to successfully grow the WSTS share of the machine control technology market within its AOR.
Job Duties:
- Provide technical guidance, product specification, and customer demonstrations for construction machine control and related applications in the designated territory.
- Provide after-sale support and troubleshooting to ensure timely follow-up and resolution to customer issues.
- Properly train mechanics to perform installs to satisfaction. Perform Machine Calibrations and measure up.
- Diagnose hydraulic and electrical issues that affect the performance of the machine control system.
- Support various types of Machine Control technology to assist in troubleshooting and customer training.
- Train customers and employees in a classroom and or jobsite.
- Manage required support-related information, forms and paperwork.
- Participates in West Side’s Safety Program
- Other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge:
- Two years of machine control or survey experience
- Background knowledge of Trimble, Topcon or Leica Machine Control product lines
- Background knowledge of model building and Take off Software (Carlson, Agtek, Business Center)
- Ability to change priorities and remain productive in a fast-paced work environment
- Perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Internet and industry specific applications
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per the company policy
- Ability to travel within assigned territory and work flexible hours
