Parts Counter Sales Representative
Parts Department
Reports To: Parts Manager
Responsible for selling, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories. In addition performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion and stocking duties.
Job Duties:
- Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs
- Assists customers in determining parts requirements
- Complete required training and remain knowledgeable on the parts systems for all manufacturers represented by the dealership
- Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
- Maintains a clean and welcoming in-store display sales area
- Receiving and distribution of daily stock and customer orders
- Assists with placing Machine Down and Stock orders
- Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
- Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
- Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order
- Participates in West Side’s Safety Program
- Completes training assigned by manager
- Other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge:
- 1-3 years parts department experience
- Solid parts and machinery knowledge
- Excellent customer service and selling skills
- Able to deal with customer objections in a professional manner
- Proficient in computer use including Internet, data entry and Microsoft Office Programs
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends (as required by location)
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per the company policy
Physical Requirements of this position:
- Ability to lift, manipulate, and move items weighing upwards of 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, kneel and squat as required by assigned task
- Exposure to chemicals
