Details about this exciting opportunity:
- Full-Time Employment Specialist opening in our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Mt. Vernon, NY.
- The Employment Specialist is part of a small multidisciplinary team that provides support and assistance to consumers (aged 4 throughout the lifespan) who are enrolled in the CCBHC in Mt. Vernon.
- Compensation: $48k-$50k/yr.

· Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Enrolling individuals into wrap around services, providing initial engagement and assessment for COPS Referrals and New Clients entering services.
- Completion of initial and ongoing NOMS assessments.
- Conducting Social Determinants of Health assessments.
- Providing person centered educational and employment support to individuals requesting assistance with educational and vocational needs and goals.
- Participating in multidisciplinary care planning meetings & grand rounds.
- Assisting the team with crisis intervention and stabilization, as needed, to support the client.
- Participating in outreach and recruitment activities with the team, forging relationships with community providers to help individuals access care and vocational/educational opportunities.
If you have the following:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health-related field, social services, or business.
- Experience providing employment or education services.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
And Attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge & management of SMI & MH conditions.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, not required.
