The Western Dairyland Head Start program is hiring full-time Teacher Assistants to work at our Head Start Center located at 35480 Sixth Street Independence, WI.
Head Start promotes school readiness of children under the age of five from income-eligible families by supporting their growth and development in a positive learning environment through comprehensive services, which include early learning, health, and family well-being. We're a mission-driven organization making a positive impact in our community since 1966.
Candidates should have an associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field or Registry certification at the Teaching Assistant level. The ideal candidate has demonstrated abilities to work with young children, many of who are living in poverty. The starting salary is $15.41 to $19.29 depending on qualifications.
This is a full-time, school-year position. Western Dairyland is committed to employee wellness and work-life balance. We have implemented a four-day 36 hour workweek!
