Job Description Summary: Cottonwood Golf Club Daytime Bartender
We are looking for a professional, high-energy Bartender with excellent communication skills serve classical cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers. The Bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.
To succeed as a Bartender, you should have a friendly personality and be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
The Bartender must be available to work weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and holiday shifts.
Essential and Duties Responsibilities:
• Provide high quality service to customers
• Adhere to all local and national liquor laws
• Mix and serve drinks following set standard recipes
• Greet guests in a timely manner and take orders
• Process cash and credit card transactions following appropriate procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team
• Carry out all tasks with attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety
• Assist with inventory and inventory control
• Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Attend monthly staff meeting.
• Performs and completes additional responsibilities or duties as expressed by the Director of Food and Beverage or General Manager.

Requirements
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2 years of experience in a bar or similar environment
• Must be 21 years of age
• Basic mathematical skills
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, and mixed cocktails
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently
Must be able to stand, stoop, twist, and walk to complete daily tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and move and tap beer kegs. The work environment has a moderate noise level.
