What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vigo County Early Head Start Program Receptionist position at Western Indiana Community Action Agency, Inc.?
Works with Early Head Start families, volunteers, and staff to provide a welcoming environment to support ERSEA services, maintain records, provide clerical support, and perform general secretarial/receptionist duties accordance with federal, state, local, and Agency rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The Receptionist consistently supports the activities outlined in the Agency’s Strategic Plan and Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) goals to promote family self-sufficiency, community development, and Agency excellence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or G.E.D., with preferred post-high school business or vocational training in a related field, and experience in clerical field.
- Must have demonstrated managerial and organizational skills.
- Must have documented ability to:
- Communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
- Meet and work well with the public.
- Operate office equipment, including but not limited to typewriters, copy machines, fax machines, calculators, multi-line communications system, etc.
- Operate PC with working knowledge of Microsoft software applications including Windows, Microsoft Office, and related program software.
- Display an ability to learn and utilize new/custom software applications as required.
- Work well with and without supervision, and with other staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
