Position Summary
The Produce Team Member is responsible for rotating and stocking items on the sales floor; receiving and backstocking product; culling unsellable produce; and customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Saturday & Sunday availability required.
- Assist in the receipt of produce inventory, including backstocking and rotating product according to first-in-first-out food safety principles.
- Stock and merchandise product on the sales floor, rotating product according to first-in-first-out food safety principles and internal Company procedures.
- Ensure all products are correctly labeled with current prices and promotional information.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Report any hazards or safety concerns to Management.
- Maintain the highest level of quality control standards at all times.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness in all production and stock areas.
- Assist customers in locating products and answer questions about produce.
- Work closely with other team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in team meetings and provide feedback.
- Perform store-wide janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, dusting, spill clean-up, and bathroom maintenance.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance for scheduled shifts.
- Answer department phone calls and take messages.
- Assist customers in all Departments as needed.
- Follow-up on Customer Requests as delegated.
- Perform Customer carry-outs as requested.
- Other janitorial duties as assigned.

- Working conditions include a fast-paced retail environment that involves long intervals of standing, crouching, and reaching while moving product. Exposure to cold temperatures while performing work in meat and poultry coolers. Some outdoor work is required. Occasional exposure to weather conditions, including heat and cold, rain, sleet, snow, and wind.
