Job Summary
The Receptionist/Customer Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for customers and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional experience. This role supports daily branch operations by assisting customers with routine banking needs, answering incoming calls, directing inquiries appropriately, and performing administrative and customer service duties in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and visitors in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner
- Answer incoming telephone calls, route calls to appropriate staff, and provide general information
- Assist customers with routine account inquiries, basic transactions, and service requests
- Process customer requests such as address changes, account maintenance, and documentation
- Support teller line and operations as needed, including backup teller duties
- Maintain customer confidentiality and comply with all banking regulations and privacy standards
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and maintaining records
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front-desk and lobby area
- Follow all security, audit, and compliance procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior customer service, receptionist, or banking experience preferred
- Cash-handling or financial services experience preferred
