The Heritage Resident Director is a live-in building manager responsible for Heritage Hall, which is home to first-year students. This role serves as a student conduct officer, supervises and trains 12 student staff in community development, and advises the Heritage Hall Government. The Resident Director plays a key role in fostering a positive residential experience, supporting student retention, and serving on the Residential Life Team and on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Building manager for Heritage Hall
- Serve as a student conduct officer, primarily for Heritage Hall
- Responsible for the training and supervision of 12 student staff in community development efforts
- Advise the Heritage Hall Government
- Responsible for the overall community experience of approximately 400 first year students
- Assist with retention of residential students
- Serve as a member of the Residential Life Team
- Serve in the Residential Life on call rotation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1–2 years of experience working with college/university students
- Experience as a professional staff member in a college residential program
- Previous supervisory and/or student organization advising experience
- Previous experience serving on duty/on-call for emergency response
