Summary of Position: The Campus Community Safety Coordinator serves as in-house security authority in areas including loss prevention, student/employee/public security, parking enforcement, and emergency response. Perform all supervisor responsibilities for Campus Safety Officers including the hiring, development, coaching and evaluation of staff and ensure all day-to-day operational objectives are being met.

Compliance and Supervision – Supporting Action/Task May Include:- Assist with reporting for Jeanne Clery Act interactions for the Department of Education Compliance
- Assist with Title IX Investigations, VAWA, and AODA
- Meet regularly with security staff to discuss day-to-day operational issues and activities
- Oversee the daily operations and scheduling for Residence Hall Community Officer
- Share on-call responsibilities
- Support and coordinate the Residence Hall Programming and training initiatives
- Assist in the training, coordination, and organization of Emergency Management
- Coordinate planning, evaluation, and inspection of camera surveillance, access control and building security systems
- Respond to and investigate crisis or emergency situations regardless of time of day
- Coordinate security response for the College during Emergency Operations Center activation, special events, and other College activities.
- Serve as liaison with local law enforcement agencies during day-to-day incident response and investigation
- Enforce and investigate violations of federal, state, or college regulations related to security.
- Represent the College on safety, parking, and security committees
- Oversee, update, and maintain Security intranet sites
- Coordinate personal safety planning for students and staff that are in need of additional assistance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in related field with 2 yrs. related occupational experience OR
- Education in related field combined with related occupational experience totaling 4 yrs. OR
- Related Occupational experience totaling 4 yrs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in law enforcement or public safety
- Supervision or managerial experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Valid Drivers License
This position reports to: Director - Campus Community Safety
Starting annual salary range based on education and experience: $52,214 - $66,644
