A family owned seafood business celebrating 20 years, is looking to fill an open role with our Quality Assurance Department. We are looking for a talented, hardworking, team player to join our team!
Schedule time is 4am to 1pm - Monday through Friday
QC Tech - General Job Description and Responsibilities
· The Quality Control Technician reports directly to the QC Manager
o Ensure all employees, visitors and contractors are follow company GMP’s;
o Assist in training employees on GMP policies;
o Monitors and ensures Food Safety Policies and Quality Expectations are maintained at all stages of operations, communicate and report non-conformities per policy guidelines.
These include: allergen control, temperature and time abuse, proper documentation, labeling, sensory, ingredient storage and handling, calibrations, and sanitary aspects (and more as required/assigned).
o Lab sample/swab collection/lab procedures as required/assigned.
o Completes and accurately maintains records as required/assigned.
o Communicates and documents any variations from HACCP plan’s, CCP’s, or any Food Safety or Food Quality concerns in a timely manner;
o Communicate and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with management and all employees.
o Other duties and projects as assigned

- Multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate and report to QC department clearly, collaboratively, and in a timely manner.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
Qualifications / Preferences:
QC Experience Preferred - Minimum 1 yr
Bilingual - Spanish preferred
Bachelor’s degree - Preferred
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 - DOE /Knowledge / Education (Experience can substitute for education).
