Westfield Public Schools seeks qualified applicants for the following anticipated vacancy:
REQUIREMENTS:
Under the direction of authorized administrators shall:
- Counsel, assess and assist in developing programmatic modifications and interventions for students with serious adjustment problems.
- Work collaboratively with all staff related to the programming for identified students
- Inform and communicate with all members of the team including parents.
- Be involved in developing behavioral objectives for IEP’s.
- Attendance at case conferences on students may be required.
- Maintain pertinent records on all referred students.
- Have periodic meetings with teachers to follow up on program recommendations.
- Work on potential referrals for pre-referral process when needed.
- Train and implement with staff Applied Behavior Analysis techniques, Functional Analysis, Data Collection techniques, Task Analysis and classroom modifications.
- Implement and oversee Functional Behavioral Assessments and write Behavior Intervention plans.
- Work directly with students including crisis management.
- Provide support and training in the area of behavioral intervention.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the building principal or the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.
