Mentor Coordinators are responsible for overseeing the mentoring program in their building or level.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting new mentors during the summer as new positions open.
- Overseeing the new teacher orientation in August for their building or level.
- Prepare/coordinate monthly meetings for new teachers.
- Attend all scheduled meetings with the District Coordinator for Mentoring.
- Communicate with building principals regarding the mentor program.
- Address concerns of mentors or mentees.
- Communicate with the District Coordinator for Mentoring regarding concerns or problems.
- Turn in attendance records and agendas of all meeting to the Coordinator at the end of the year.
