SUMMARY

Responsible for all operations involved in slotted pipe.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.
• Obtain pipe and packaging specification.
• Read and accurately follow blueprints and product / packaging drawings.
• Set-up screen saws and related equipment to different sizes according to specifications and production schedule.
• Clean and maintain slotting equipment frequently and maintain good housekeeping in the slotting area.
• Checks parts for dimensions.
• Loads and unloads pipe at slotting saw.
• Operates slotting saw safely and follows all work instructions and JSA’s.
• Assists with procuring materials needed for production. Must use tape measure, calipers, and feeler gauges.
• Notify Supervisor of quality and production problems / issues / deficiencies.
• Responsible for completion of production and quality paperwork.
• In the event of an accident or injury immediately notify the Shift supervisor on duty.
• Contact Maintenance Department to get equipment repaired when necessary.
• Ability and willingness to take on additional assignments as requested by management.
• Other duties as required

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable English words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.

Ability to print and speak simple sentences

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The base pay range for this position is $22.07 to $28.

31. This range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience and skillset.

Westlake is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, sign on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
