What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diving Coach position at Westmoor Country Club?
Description
The Diving Coach at Westmoor Country Club will lead seasonal diving lessons for club members of varying ages and skill levels. Experience is required, and experience in a private club or resort setting is a plus.
Hours will be determined by scheduled lesson times. The Westmoor pool is open from 8:45am to 8:00pm daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Responsibilities
- Teach swimmers about safe and skillful diving
- Supervise lessons to ensure that Westmoor pool rules and safety guidelines are followed
- Apply the skills of lifeguarding in the case of an emergency as learned through certifications
- Assist with pool maintenance and locker room cleaning as instructed by management
Pay Range
Based on experience
Requirements
- Lifeguard certification
- At least sixteen years of age
- Flexible work schedule: able to work varying lesson times to include holidays, weekends, and evenings
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Coaching experience in diving is preferred
- Willingness to perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Ability to work calmly, efficiently, and professionally in a sometimes busy and stressful recreational setting
