The Production Technicians primary responsibility is to assist the Technical Director in preparing for and executing both technical and production elements for weekend services and other ministry events requiring support.In addition, this position aids in backing up the Technical Arts Director for services when needed.
What You Will Do:
- Provide consistent, excellent, reliable, and productive services to the church staff, ministries and community within scope of responsibilities.
- Tasks are completed on time with maximum ministry impact.
- Enable quality production of Westover Hills Church worship services.
- Maintain and organize technical equipment in various auditoriums and meeting rooms.
- Facilitate monthly, quarterly, and annual equipment maintenance and cleaning.
- Fulfill general setup of technical needs for weekday meetings and classes.
- Keeps updated records of current system configurations.
- Create and document AVL processes to ensure a high level of continuity across all ministries.
- Partners with creative, worship and other staff to provide a unified team mentality.
- Consistently hones personal production skills and stays informed on technical advances.
- Assist in the troubleshooting, setup, and execution of weekend ministry services.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in the sound booth, production suite, backstage and various tech storage closets.
- Assist in providing the relevant training and care for volunteers.
Qualifications
Skills Needed to Succeed
- High level of skill and knowledge in the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio, video, recording, and lighting systems.
- Must be able to perform basic electronic repairs (soldering, cable repairs, etc.).
- Experience in rigging; hanging sets and lighting fixtures, including dmx addressing and fixture patching.
- Must be able to lift objects of 70lbs or greater and endure physically challenging labor.

- A hard worker who is motivated, reliable, professional, mature, and able to meet deadlines
- Effective and timely in communication
