Yacht -Interior Finish Application/Sprayer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sprayer to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and applying various finish coatings to trim work and cabinet interior/exterior to meet or exceed the specifications required for each finish application.

Responsibilities

• Mix and apply primer, stain, sealer, epoxy, polyurethanes, paint, high build and/or top coats with brush or spray application to a high quality finish.
• Operate airless paint spraying equipment to apply coatings to products efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or priming as necessary.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure proper application and finish.
• Conduct routine maintenance on spraying equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operations.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members in fabrication, assembly, and materials handling tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial or construction painting is preferred.
• Knowledge of auto body repair or auto painting techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and assembly processes is a plus.
• Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paint components accurately.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Color matching paints and stains.
• High gloss polishing.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms, to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to push or pull and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Safety Requirements:

• Production positions with Westport LLC are Safety Sensitive – Any offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate’s negative pre-employment drug screen results (including marijuana & THC) results.
• Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment including and not limited to gloves, safety glasses, hard hat and or a respirator may need to be worn when handling hazardous products or working in hazardous environments.
• Maintain and participates in keeping personal work area, shop and tools clean and in proper working order to ensure safe working environment.
• Hazardous materials are used in the production process. Employees must follow all safety guidelines and evacuation procedures; learn the location of first aid stations and how to read an SDS.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
