Weyerhaeuser Company is searching for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to support our 9 Distribution Centers located in Colorado, Texas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. This is full-time, work-from-home position with up to 25% travel. The ideal candidate will be based in the Dallas, Atlanta, or Charlotte area, within reasonable commuting distance to a major airport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for managing a blend of complex HR tasks and HR strategy, enjoys building collaborative business relationships with all levels of the organization, and is energized by leveraging HR expertise to drive strategy.

This position is a part of the Distribution east division’s leadership team and Weyerhaeuser’s Distribution human resources team reporting to the HR Director for Distribution.The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for advising on a variety of topics ranging from compensation reviews to work system design to employee relations, and everything in between. Additionally, this role is a strategic partner to distribution center leaders and focuses on meeting business performance objectives through effective HR planning, development, coaching and problem solving.

Location:

Must reside in Texas, Georgia, or North Carolina and be within driving distance to the major international airport. This role is not open to individuals that live outside of these states.

Key Functions

  • Role model Weyerhaeuser Key Values including Safety, Integrity, Citizenship, Sustainability, and Inclusion.
  • Business partner to the leadership team as well as the broader Distribution HR team.
  • Provide top-quality coaching, consultations, and solutions in all areas of HR, including employee relations, talent management, and leadership training.
  • Work closely with management and the employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Partner with site leaders to develop strategic workforce plans to meet current and future talent needs.
  • Administer and provide guidance on compensation review/planning and performance management processes.
  • Responsible for salaried and hourly staffing functions (including sourcing, recruiting, retention, and on-boarding process).
  • Promote and encourage innovative thoughts and ideas.
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions and programs.
  • Ensure site compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Participate in business-wide HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

  • At least 8 years of HR generalist experience, with expertise in supporting exempt and non-exempt personnel across multiple states, preferred
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree preferred
  • SPHR, PHR, etc. certification preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Experience in multiple HR disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, talent management, diversity, performance management, and federal and state laws.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build positive relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to influence people at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in issue resolution and employee relations.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, understand strategy and manage details.
  • Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills; experience in Peoplesoft, preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a distribution or sales environment is preferred
  • Professional HR certification is an asset.

What We Offer

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $97,400 to $146,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

We offer a pre-tax Health Savings Account option which includes a company contribution. Other benefit options are also available such as voluntary Long-Term Care and Employee Assistance Programs. Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
