VAN MONITOR

Weymouth Public Schools is seeking van monitors to accompany students with disabilities from their homes to the schools they attend.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist van driver in assuring seat belts, harnesses and wheel chair clamps are secured as required
- Consult with and assist van driver in documentation of student information and recordkeeping
- Assist the van driver in maintaining discipline on school van; monitor and assist students while bus is in operation
- Assist with safe loading, unloading and seating arrangement of students as required
Requirements:
- 5 Hours per school day - School Year Only (with possible summer work)
- Experience with special needs students preferred
- Perform other duties as requested by the Transportation Supervisor
