We are seeking a Construction Estimator to join our team and play a critical role in scoping, pricing, and coordinating subcontractor work. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare cost estimates for property repairs, renovations, and construction projects.
- Analyze work orders, photos, and scope requirements to produce accurate bids.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to clarify scopes and avoid miscommunication.
- Obtain and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
- Track project costs during execution and flag any variances.
- Maintain clear and organized records of bids, estimates, and subcontractor communications.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Basic understanding of construction or home repair (willing to train).
- Comfortable using software and technology in a daily workflow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and timelines in a high-volume environment.
- Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn.
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience in construction estimating, property preservation, or project coordination.
- Knowledge of vendor negotiation or subcontractor pricing.
- Experience with scopes for maintenance, turns, or rehab work.
