Location: **ON-SITE** 10213 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21042
Honors College Prep, operated by Wharton High School, is seeking an SAT Instructor and AP Physics and Calculus Instructor to join our school.
Qualified candidates may also choose to teach from a wide range of AP subjects including:
- SAT (Reading & Writing / Math)
- AP Calculus
- AP Biology
- AP Chemistry
- AP Physics
- AP Computer Science
- AP Statistics
- AP English Language & Composition
We are looking for passionate educators with a strong background in their subject area and a commitment to helping students succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Teach SAT or(and) AP Classes
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Assess and grade students' work, providing constructive monthly student report
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
Schedule:
- Available for time slots:
- 3-7PM, Monday to Thursday.
- 10AM - 12PM, Saturdays
Compensation:
- $30 -$40 per hour
Qualifications:
Required:
- Strong teaching skills in SAT Reading & Writing; Math
- Strong background in Mathematics and (or) Physics.
- Proof of SAT/ACT scores required (ideally SAT 1530 or equivalent ACT score)
- Excellent teaching and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and connect with students
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or currently in progress
Preferred:
- Prior teaching experience
- Ability to teach additional subjects (physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics)
- Experience in an educational environment
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
