Wharton-Smith, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Business Intelligence and Solutions Engineer to work in the Business Intelligence & Solutions Division in the Sanford, FL or Tampa, FL area.

- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models while building and optimizing Power Automate workflows to support and automate business processes.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions, integrating data from multiple sources with a focus on accuracy, security, and performance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance reports and automated workflows to ensure reliability and efficiency, while documenting solutions and standards to support scalability and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with Power Platform updates and best practices in a fast-paced environment, with a strong interest in learning Power Apps and adopting additional technologies as business needs evolve.
- Proficient in Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate, including report and dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and workflow automation.
- Strong experience integrating data from SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, Dataverse, cloud-based sources, and REST APIs, with working knowledge of JSON data structures and API calls.
- Skilled in building automated processes using triggers, conditions, approvals, expressions, error handling, and custom connectors.
- Knowledge of Power Platform integration, data security, governance, and performance optimization, with the ability to troubleshoot, document, and maintain scalable solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels.
- Self-motivated with the ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven at translating technical or complex information into clear, user-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrates adaptability, active listening, and a customer-focused mindset, with a strong capacity for problem-solving, time management, and independent or team-based work.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, as well as designing and optimizing Power Automate workflows.
- Strong understanding of data integration, DAX, Power Query, and Power Platform connectors.
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions while collaborating with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
