Maintenance Assistant

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Assistant to work at our headquarters in the Sanford, FL area. The successful candidate will be responsible for successful completion of maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager and Facilities Supervisor. Responsibilities: Follow direction from Facilities Team. Maintain cleanliness of corporate facility and grounds, event set ups and assist with yard/warehouse projects. Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens and common areas throughout the day and replenish supplies as needed. Clean surfaces of desks, countertops, door and handles, floors, restrooms, walkways, windows, handrails, and furniture. Sweep and mop floors as needed. Maintain cleanliness of courtyard and grounds. Stock kitchen supplies such as cups, plates, paper towels, plasticware, coffee, tea, sugar, and creamer. Clean out the refrigerators as scheduled. Maintain cleanliness of counter tops, seating, and appliances in kitchen areas. Stock paper in copiers. Stock water in refrigerators and cabinets as directed. Sweep entrance ways and dust as needed. Pick up trash in lot and yard. Assist with event/meeting set up and break down. Post or hang materials given by management such as cleaning signs, pictures, poster boards, and tack boards. Change light bulbs, touch up paint and other minor repairs to facility. Assist with repairs in office when needed. Help load/unload furniture and/or materials. Assist with projects in warehouse and yard area. Detail vehicles and equipment as directed. Perform inspections on yard vehicles for maintenance and service needs. Take vehicles for service and/or repairs. Assist other staff as requested by management. Run errands to pick up supplies or parts. Drop off or pick up vehicles and equipment with other staff. Requirements: Valid Driver’s License. Excellent time management. Follow directions accurately. Professional appearance and attitude Able to multitask. Good communication skills. Able to perform duties as required. Able to lift 50lbs.
