Position Title: Custodian
Education, Training, Experience and Other Requirements
- Physically able to walk, bend, stoop, lift, climb and reach.
- Some custodial experience and knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations preferred.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively with public and co-workers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meets the Center's requirements for compliance with rules, policies and procedures.
- Performs custodial duties including but not limited to the removal and disposal of trash and debris from waiting areas, exam rooms, laboratory, restrooms and offices. Also responsible for the cleaning of walls, doors, ceilings, mirrors and waste receptacles. Ensures restrooms and exam rooms are adequately stocked.
- Check the grounds debris and proper disposal.
- Report need for repairs to immediate supervisor on written requisition form. May conduct minor repairs that are within his/her ability.
- Replenishes supplies of soap, towels, and other dispensable items as needed.
- Report to immediate supervisor any supplies that need replenishing. May be required to submit a Requisition Form to request supplies.
- Checks facility for safety hazards and reports any deficiency to immediate supervisor.
- May assist Maintenance personnel with the moving of equipment and furniture as necessary.
- May be responsible for opening the Center daily and may be responsible for locking up the facility at night.
Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor work assignments.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position the employee is routinely required to bend, stoop, climb, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel or crouch. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. May be required to drive to other locations. Must be able to handle multiple demands from several people.
Salary : $24,000 - $30,300
