What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Cook position at Wheeling Park Commission?
The First cook is tasked with preparing all menu items to standard as laid out by the Executive Chef and his Sous Chefs, in a efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
Prepare food to quality and presentation standards, Communicate effectively with all team members and display a team player attitude.
Ensure safety, sanitation, and cleanliness is followed at all times. Demonstrate complete knowledge of all menus with a willingness to learn. Preform other job related duties as required. Minimum 2-3 years experience or related training, experience working on banquet events, line work, deep fryers, and grills. Well developed knife skills, and general knowledge about kitchen equipment. Basic sauces, and dressing knowledge, able to read, understand and follow recipes. Can work at speed under pressure in an organized manner, ability's to work with or without supervisor. Servesafe recommended but not required.
