What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Wheelz Up?
An expanding independent Delivery Service Partner (DSP), serving Doobies customers throughout Wareham, MA and the surrounding area, is seeking responsible, reliable and dependable Delivery Drivers, who want to be a part of a strong, customer focused company.
Delivery Drivers are put through a rigorous delivery training program and must complete all necessary courses approved by the CCC. Each Driver's primary job is to operate the assigned company delivery vehicle, transporting themselves, a Doobies Customer Service Rep, and the product, safely to planned delivery stops. Delivery Divers follow pre-approved routes and are expected to use critical thinking to help expedite the delivery process to meet delivery deadlines.
All Delivery Drivers will deliver orders, within a 50 mile radius of their assigned pick-up location. Delivery schedule is 7 per week between the hours of 8 AM - 9 PM, part time and full-time positions are available. (Schedules to be determined)
**All applicants are subject to a full background check, drug screening and must have a clean Driving Record**
Some Requirements;
Must be a minimum of 21 years old
Must possess a valid Drivers License, for at least 3 years
Have a clean Driving Record (MVR) No patterns of driving violations or suspension of driving privileges, and no "At Fault" accidents, "DUI" or "Reckless Driving" infractions
Be able to drive a large SUV size vehicle
Be able to make deliveries in inclement weather (Snow, Rain, and Heat)
Be physically fit and able to make deliveries up to 13 hours per day.
Be able to use hand held devices for routing information, customer delivery information and taking pics of deliveries
Some weekend shifts are required - OT will apply if a driver picks up an additional shift totaling over 40 hours per week.
Some Responsibilities;
Help load vehicle with scheduled daily deliveries
Deliver packages to customers as directed (A Doobies Customer Service Rep will be along for the ride)
Operate company vehicle is a safe manner, keep the company vehicle clean and refuel, as needed
Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance
