What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Whiskers and Wags Animal Hospital?
Whiskers and Wags Animal Hospital opened in October 2019, and we are continuing to
grow. We are excited to announce that we are currently looking to add another member
to our fantastic team.
We are a privately owned small animal practice that also see’s pocket pets. Dr. Mason
and her team focuses on treating the animal as a whole, as well as providing elevated
primary care. We focus on client education and providing individualized treatment plans
for each patient based on their lifestyles.
We are looking for an experienced veterinary assistant with at least 2 years experience,
and doesn’t mind staying late if an emergency arises. Someone who is kind, caring, and
excited to help us grow our practice, and provide excellent patient and client care.

Duties of the job include:
Assisting the doctor in animal health care including,
- Blood draw
- animal restraint
- taking in patients
- lab work (urine, blood, fecal)
- patient monitoring, vitals
- cleaning exam rooms, sanitizing between patients
- must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- good communication skills
- talking to clients ( in person, online, on phone)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.87 per hour
