Dental Front Desk Receptionist – Experienced (Dentrix Required)
Full-Time | Monday–Thursday | Growth Opportunity
We are a well-established, modern dental practice looking for an experienced Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Our office is known for being organized, patient-focused, upbeat, and genuinely kind to both patients and team members. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys dentistry, works well in a fast-paced setting, and values creating a great patient experience from the first phone call to check-out.
Requirements (non-negotiable):
- Minimum of 3 years of dental front desk experience
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Dentrix experience
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and office workflow
- Experience with scheduling for doctors and hygiene
- Experience verifying insurance, entering benefits, and understanding breakdowns
- Experience with patient check-in, check-out, and collecting copays and balances
- Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Ability to multitask and stay calm and professional in a busy environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and professionally and create a positive first impression
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage daily schedules efficiently
- Verify insurance benefits and accurately enter information into Dentrix
- Coordinate schedules to support productivity and smooth patient flow
- Collect payments, explain balances, and maintain accurate records
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding appointments, policies, and expectations
- Work closely with clinical and administrative team members
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality
