Our client, a successful family investment office based in North New Jersey, is seeking to hire an HR Administrative Manager. The position will oversee payroll their PEO, handle employee relations claims, and manage an internal coordinator and internal recruiter. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in office.

- Regulatory Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA).
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant.
- Conduct regular audits of HR policies, practices, and records to ensure compliance.
- Disability Accommodation
- Manage the process of providing reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Collaborate with employees, management, and legal teams to ensure appropriate accommodations are provided and documented.
- Training and Education
- Develop and deliver compliance training related to workplace safety, harassment prevention, discrimination laws, and other HR compliance areas.
- Train management and staff on HR policies, best practices, and legal obligations.
- Payroll and Management
- Oversee payroll through a third-party
- Direct-line management for junior coordinators
- Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution
- Serve as a key resource for employee relations, mediating and resolving disputes related to workplace safety, discrimination, and other compliance issues.
- Conduct investigations and manage cases related to workplace misconduct, ensuring fair and compliant resolutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or certification preferred).
- 8-15 years of experience in HR with a strong focus on compliance and workplace safety.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA standards, EEO laws, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant labor laws.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
