Whitewood Industries, Inc., an employee-owned company, located in Thomasville is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join its Accounting Team.

Accounting Clerk Job Responsibilities:

• Supports accounts receivable by assisting with daily cash application.
• Supports accounts receivable by researching deductions.
• Reconciliation of customers’ accounts.
• Supports accounts payable by invoice coding and entry.
• Supports accounts payable by assisting with weekly check runs.
• Reconciliation of vendors’ accounts.
• Supports credit & collections by reviewing customers balances and orders.
• Supports the front desk as a fill-in receptionist.
• Maintains accounting records by making copies and filing documents.
• Supports all areas by covering for absences.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Accounting Clerk Qualifications/Skills:

• Basic accounting knowledge
• Familiarity with financial software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• General math skills
• Analytical skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Reporting skills
• Data entry proficiency
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Organization, attention to detail, productivity, and dependability

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Previous accounting experience required.
• Associate’s degree in accounting or working towards degree preferred.

The hours are 8 to 5 with 1 hour for lunch.

Pay to be determined with education and experience plus excellent benefits after 90 days.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
