What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN WHIT SPECIALTY CLINIC position at Whitfield Regional Hospital?
The primary purpose of this job position is to perform the duties as an LPN, along with other clinical procedures, including, but not limited to x-rays, pulmonary function studies, EKG’s, and other intra-clinical procedures. Will also be expected to assist the medical providers in minor surgeries performed in the clinical surgical suite and will assist other clinical staff members as deemed necessary.
Requirements
- Must possess a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Alabama.
- Must be able to write in a legible and understanding manner.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such attention.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with other personnel, patients, and family members.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to patient care.
- Must be able to work harmoniously with other professional and ancillary staff.
- Must be willing to stay current with new information, procedure and practices; and incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and the willingness to work with difficult patients and family members.
- Must be certified in BLS.
