What are the responsibilities and job description for the WELLNESS INSTRUCTOR position at Whitfield Regional Hospital?
Qualifications:
- Diploma from high school or GED equivalency
- Experience in the areas of fitness or a related field is not required but preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in order to communicate effectively with staff,, and the general public.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Before working independently: must be CPR certified; be adept at fitness testing; have understanding of exercise target heart rate, exercise techniques and exercise equipment, basic muscular anatomy and medical terminology.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, and ambulate effectively.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately, so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must be in good health and demonstrate emotional stability.
- Must be able to function independently, having personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with personnel and the general public.
- Must be able to multi-task when necessary.
