What are the responsibilities and job description for the Settlement Specialist position at Whitley Law Firm?
Whitley Law Firm in Raleigh is looking for a person with at least two years experience in one of the following areas to join their Settlement Team:
- medical office (handling insurance claims)
- insurance (managing claims)
- personal injury law firm experience
If you have the following qualities we would like to talk to you about joining the Whitley Team:
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- Previous experience with subrogation/liens not required, but a plus
- Acute attention to detail with a 99% accuracy in document completion
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
The Settlement Specialist will:
- request and obtain updated subrogation liens
- research and open subrogation case files for health insurance companies,
- negotiate with lien and non-lien holders for client account discounts,
- draft initial and final settlement disbursement documentation
- navigate subrogation portals for lien updates
- offer courteous and responsive service to medical providers and subrogation companies
Education
· High school diploma or equivalent accepted with commensurate experience in the medical, insurance or personal injury field. Some college preferred.
