Content Writer

Wholesome Goods, Inc. is a fast-growing e-commerce company with exciting brands in home goods, cosmetics, and pet care brands. We are seeking a talented, polished Content Writer to join our in-house team. The Content Writer will be responsible for scripting, storyboarding, and executing the process of online ad campaigns. The Content Writer will be independently responsible for researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, competitor content, interviews, and studies) to understand trends in our growing industry.

Projects include but are not limited to, short-form and some long-form ad content for web/social and marketing promos showcasing Wholesome Goods Branded products. The ideal candidate will be proficient in promotional scriptwriting, storyboarding, contractor relations, and multi-task management.

This is an on-site position with one hybrid-remote day on Wednesdays.

Your Impact:

• Work with your manager(s) to develop, execute, and proof all scripts for new and existing video ad campaigns that will run on various social media platforms (Facebook Ads/Instagram, YouTube ads, TikTok, etc.)
• Work alongside an Ad Creative Designer to create storyboards using the AIDA marketing format, paying careful attention to reasonable and necessary expenses (talent, props, location, etc.)
• Plan and attend pre-production meetings with all necessary parties, including but not limited to your Pod, supervisors, our in-house production team, contractors, talent, etc.
• Coordinate with talent and contractors to assign necessary roles in the production process
• Lead and manage projects from conceptualization to completion using interdepartmental applications to plan and organize (Asana, Discord, Milanote, Google Applications, etc.)
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our ad content and recommend solutions to their problems
• Use the Marketing Brand guidelines as a reference to style, flow, and context
• Keep your Pod and the team informed with current up-to-date information, trends, and new ideas
• Address feedback in an efficient & productive manner
• Other duties as assigned

General Expectations:

• Familiarity with Wholesome Goods’ brand image, products, and services
• At least 2-3 years experience with copywriting/content writing for websites or online content
• A brag-worthy portfolio of written content
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with contractors, colleagues, and management
• Highly detail-oriented
• Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously — problem-solving independently and in a team setting is a must
• Excellent time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
• Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs
• Enthusiastic, kind, sociable, articulate, and a team player
• Has high emotional intelligence and is able to listen to, support, and encourage others
