Maintenance Technician
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to assist in managing all onsite maintenance activities for our single-story apartment homes. This is a demanding and exciting position for those who like to multi-task and are looking to grow their career in the residential maintenance industry with a reputable, family-owned company.
You will be responsible for the following areas:
- Perform assigned tasks on punch lists and weekly site schedules per direction of the Maintenance Supervisor
- Tasks could include: drywall & paint touch ups, HVAC repairs, electrical work, minor corrections to finish trades like shelving or bath accessories, clean up within units and around site and other finish work items needed to keep resident units in fantastic shape
Communication
- Assist Supervisor and Community Manager in coordinating and communicating with trade partners on site
- Work with property management staff to ensure a smooth transition as units are completed and turned over to residents
Safety
- Enforce jobsite safety requirements to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Other areas
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
You have the following experience (at a minimum)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of experience in Residential or Commercial Maintenance
You have the following attributes and interpersonal skills:
- Ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions
- Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction and to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to be customer interfacing with strong communication skills and a positive attitude
You have the following technical skills:
- Hands on experience in multiples trades
- Possess a detailed knowledge of construction, trade management, and safety practices
- Basic computer skills are required and experience with scheduling software is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push or pull 50-pound loads at a time
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions

- TRAVEL: This position requires some travel within the central Ohio area; therefore, you must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

- CALL: This position participates in a rotating call schedule
