What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safari Animal Care position at Wild Florida?
Safari Animal care team is currently seeking applicants who desire a career in animal care.
Responsibilities:
Preform daily care of assigned animals including cleaning, feeding, and exhibit
maintenance.
Prepare Diets for the animal collection
Provide animals with species specific enrichment daily
Participate in Keeper Chats, tours and animal encounters
Assist in training animals for basic husbandry
Maintain daily reports and records (Medical logs, training logs, and enrichment logs)
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
Degree in zoology or related field preferred
Must have a minimum 1 year experience in a zoological setting working with
exotic animals
Must have good communication skills, written and verbal
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions such as extreme heat
Must have the ability to work individually or with a team or without direct
supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
