FOH/Barista

Job Summary
We are excited to announce that we are hiring passionate and energetic Front of House Team Members for our upcoming café in Laguna Beach, set to open in January! As a key member of our café team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and providing exceptional service. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and create a positive, inviting atmosphere from the moment they enter.
• Take customer orders with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
• Serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, pastries, and other menu items, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Operate the POS system, process transactions, and handle cash register duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including dining areas, workstations, and equipment, in line with food safety guidelines.
• Assist with inventory management, ensuring the café is stocked with necessary food and beverage items.
• Upsell menu items and engage customers with knowledge about our offerings, enhancing their experience.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and barista teams to ensure smooth service and timely food and beverage delivery.
• Adhere to all food safety practices and policies to ensure a safe and high-quality dining experience.
• Help with opening and closing duties as needed, including cleaning, restocking, and setting up for the next day.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or customer service setting is preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices and cash handling.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds when necessary.
