Overview:
Wildrose Kennels, the oldest and most reputable breeder and trainer of British Labradors in the United States, is expanding our Midwest team and looking to hire a full-time Kennel Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about dogs, training and the outdoors.
Duties:
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Clean and maintain kennels
- Exercising kennel dogs
- Maintain facilities and grounds
- Assist with grooming tasks
- Assist with backgrounding and training dogs
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals in a kennel or veterinary setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with customers and teammates
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
