Salary range- $16.75/hr-$21.00/hr depending on experience

Shift: Monday thru Friday: 4pm to midnight

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Janitor/Custodian to clean the Wildwood buildings and keep them in neat & orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Consistently and reliably attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
• Sweeps, mops, buffs, and scrubs floors. Vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
• Cleans and services restrooms with mops and disinfectants. Stock and replenish supplies.
• Strip and wax floors.
• Sets up and takes down chairs, tables, and other equipment for special use of building.
• Cleans interior glass, and drinking fountains.
• Dust blinds, vents and baseboards.
• Checks to ensure that buildings are heated, cleaned, locked, and unlocked in readiness for all activities.
• Empties office trash and garbage containers.
• Informs senior custodian of maintenance issues.
• Makes recommendations for improvements or new equipment
  
  

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to:

• stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms;
• climb or balance (including on ladders and scaffolds) and talk or hear.
• regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds; and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  
  

The Employee Is Occasionally Required To

• sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.
• and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  
  

Qualifications

Additional Requirements:

A valid New York State Driver’s License and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
