Pay: $70,000 - $95,000 based on experience plus quarterly performance bonusses
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Structural Designer / Structural Engineer to lead the design and analysis of structural systems for a variety of projects including commercial, industrial, and/or infrastructure developments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of structural design codes and standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the structural design and analysis for buildings, facilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct structural assessments and provide recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, drafters, contractors, and project managers.
- Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and deliverables.
- Perform field visits and inspections to ensure design compliance and construction quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 1 years of structural design experience.
- PE license a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Enercalc, ETABS, RISA).
- Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other drafting/modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with seismic or wind load design.
- Design/build project experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with nationwide design practices.
